Living life to the fullest. That is what defines the visionary leader of Viveros Resort and Club, Michel Soutiran. Whether it's flying performance aircraft as part of the Breitling Race Team, sailing the waters off the coast of Panama or meticulously planning every detail of a world-class resort, Michel has always pursued every interest with passion. And it's this passion that has come to define the spirit of Viveros Resort and Club. A place where sport, adventure, luxury and family are woven together to provide the ultimate playground and island escape.
Michel is no stranger to bringing a vision to life. Nearly 30 years ago, he branched out from the family Champagne business in France to start Sparflex, a packaging-solutions company that caters to the wine and spirit industry. Under Michel's leadership, Sparflex, which started in 1983, has grown into the second largest manufacturer of wirehood and packaging-enhancement products in the world. With manufacturing facilities in France and California, Sparflex has captured nearly 50% of the wirehood and champagne headdress business in France and over 30% worldwide. In a single year, Michel's company produces over 1.5 billion caps and capsules. If you have ever opened a wire cap on a bottle of champagne, chances are it's a product made by Sparflex.
With a successful company that continues to grow, Michel has now turned his attention to bringing a new vision to lifeā¦Viveros Resort and Club. Teaming up with partners from France and Panama to form Viveros Resort and Residences, S.A., Michel and his team have begun crafting an island-community that will serve as a place to create lasting family memories. An avid aviator, Michel spent years flying around the waters of France, Mexico, the Caribbean and, ultimately, Panama, in search of the perfect piece of land to create a luxury resort. Once located, Viveros Island was immediately acquired and paid for in full, allowing for careful planning and prudent development. To date, nearly $30 million has been invested in the planning and infrastructure development, with amenity construction and estate home construction now fully underway.
The passion that Michel has shown in his previous endeavors continues with Viveros Resort and CLub, all with a watchful eye on being a good steward of the land and surrounding environment. "My background in mechanical engineering has served me well with Viveros Resort and Club. Our team understands that proper planning and innovate techniques in the development industry can yield the perfect balance of luxury living and sustainable development. We have a beautiful piece of nature in our hands, and our goal is to enhance it so everyone can enjoy it to its fullest, while protecting it at the same time."
